The Kantatallita Temple is located 100 meters from the Akapana Pyramid, The most accepted meanings for its name are “Discovered at Dawn” and “Light of Dawn.”. Its structure is part of the great Monumental Archaeological Complex of Tiwanaku. It has a rectangular floor plan of approximately 29 meters from north to south and 35 meters from east to west; Its entire perimeter is made up of rectangular chairs.

The lithic piece that stands out the most is the “model stone” which would be the representation of a temple not yet discovered.; carved from a quadrangular block of sandstone 20.000 kilograms in weight and on its upper face it shows a series of sculpted recesses like small stairs and tiny patios.. It presents, in its orientation towards the east, two small staircases with three sections., descending through the central part to a large patio, while in front towards the west there are three other staircases with three steps going up to the upper platform where six quadrangular perforations are observed in rows of three that seemed to indicate stone steles or other types of classic monuments of the Tiwanaku culture.. Another relevant piece is a lowered arch lintel that may have adorned the entrance to the enclosure.. This piece was made of gray andesite material with a refined iconographic work.. This piece would probably have been covered by gold metal plates held in place by metal nails..

Finally, in the area, blocks of andesite stone are observed., finely carved that show cruciform figures in the shape of a rhombus and in low relief.
