St. John's Church – Taria
It was created in the year 1578, built by the Dominican fathers in the 16th century
The story goes that in Tarija, At first there was only one chapel that the residents built in dedication to Saint John the Evangelist., in which the sacraments were administered for some years preceding the Great Church, who later built. It is located between the beginning of Bolívar and Domingo Paz streets., at the foot of the La Loma de San Juan neighborhood.
From its atrium you have a beautiful view of a large part of the city of Tarija, more properly speaking the south-western part.
