It is located west of the town of San Buenaventura and very close to the Tuichi River.. It is located at 84 kilometers from the town of Rurrenabaque.

To get to the site you can hire the services of the Santa Rosa Tourist Company with offices in the City of La Paz (“Andean Epics” Calle Linares) The company organizes tourist tours to this tourist attraction including food services, lodging, boat transportation from the town of Rurrenabaque to navigate the Beni and Tuichi rivers.

The Santa Rosa Lagoon has a surface area greater than 1000 hectares. It has crystal clear waters with some sectors of green color due to the amount of algae on its surface and in its depths.. The natural and hydrological environment has similar characteristics to those of the ecosystem of the Madidi National Park and Integrated Management Natural Area.; as well as its extraordinary biodiversity in flora, fauna, climate and geomorphology. A wide variety of fish can be found on site., birds and aquatic plants, alligators and lizards; It is also surrounded by a thick forest where an innumerable number of wild animals live., how did you stop, jaguars, Sicuis, herons, monkeys, deer, etc. The advisable season to visit the tourist attraction is the dry season.
