Eduardo López Rivas National Anthropological Museum – Oruro

The museum was founded on November 1, 1959, It has four areas: Archeology, Ethnomusicology, Ethnography and Folklore.

In this museum some archaeological pieces from pre-Columbian cultures such as the Wancarani are displayed., Random, Chipaya and there are chullpares with mummies belonging to these cultures.

In another space, stone deities such as the flame are exhibited, the puma and a sculpture of the llama idol – puma, You can also appreciate the rituals that ancient cultures carried out with the deformation of skulls..

In the Ethnography and Folklore room there is a collection on the evolution of masks used in the Oruro Carnival, as well as Andean percussion and wind instruments.
