One of the main festivities of the population of Viacha is celebrated on 2 October in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary. The residents commemorate the festival with multicolored dances and other cultural expressions. Among these are also the educational units, transport unions, military units and visitors who come from all corners of the department.
The dances with the greatest ascendancy in this festival are the “Morenada”, “Caporales”, "fit", "Care", “Pujllay” and other native expressions of the region. Hundreds of dancers show their best clothes in the main squares and streets in demonstration of faith, devotion and joy for the Patroness of the town.
