Iquimani Hill – Peace

Cerro Iquimani is located four kilometers away from the town of Collana. The town is reached by road from the city of La Paz in the direction of Machacamarca., continuing the journey southeast by land to Collana.

The elevation is considered a “Huaca”, sacred place for the Aymara communities. In this space offerings are made and thanks are given to Pachamama. (mother earth) for the favors received at the beginning of the agricultural year and in the Aymara new year, which is celebrated on 21 June, as well as on festive dates in each community where the population participates with offerings and religious expressions..

In addition to the cultural importance, the geophysical characteristics and their location, the hill is a natural viewpoint. From where you can see the municipality's limestone quarries and the communities that stand out on the highland horizon..
