Chullpares of Calamarca – Peace

They are found 10 min. of the population of the same name in this site there are funerary enclosures where bodies of chiefs and notables of the community were buried. Due to their cultural practices, they were buried in the fetal position with highly valuable objects and crafts and their best clothing.. The funerary site incorporated the offerings, food, agricultural utensils and products.

These buildings have an estimated age of 700 years and were built by the cultures that made up the Aymara lordships which settled in the place.
