Catacora Church – Peace

The Church of Catacora is a monumental infrastructure that is characterized by having elements of colonial architecture.. The ornamentation is represented by pillars, semicircular arches and a tower that serves as a bell tower. It was built with white edged stones., just like the mortar with which they were joined, its blocks are finely sculpted.

The church is made up of a main nave in the shape of a Latin cross., crowned with a half-orange dome. On the outside there is a patio that surrounds the structure and serves as an atrium.; At the entrance gate you can see a semicircular arch and a tower of approximately 12 meters high which can be accessed through small stairs.

The historical and cultural value of this work lies in its design that corresponds to rural architecture in the highland area.. The building has an acceptable level of conservation. The community assigns social importance to it, especially during the patron saint's day.. You can visit the place regularly during the day.
