Kaka River

The Kaka River is formed by the confluence of the Mapiri and Coroico rivers., then joining the Beni River. Along its path it forms meanders with natural attractions endowed with lush vegetation.. At Teoponte this river is navigable. It currently receives water from the mining cooperatives of that region where the gold sands are washed, which constitutes a risk for the environment..
On the way to Inca Huara, You can see the so-called “Parrots Nest”, so called because it shelters a wide variety of these birds. There visitors can appreciate the beauty and variety of the typical fauna and flora of the region.. The greatest flow of boats and visitors is recorded between September for the patron saint's day and in the dry season from May to August..
