Cerro de Queñuas – Peace

Cerro de Queñuas is located in the south east part in relation to the Population of Pairumani Grande, very close to the population center of Catacora. It is characterized by constituting a group of queñua bushes that varies from 1 a 5 meters high, the stem is normally twisted and may have one or several stems. The tree crown is diffuse and irregular, Its bark is reddish to shiny yellowish brown.. This plant has been reforested by the residents of the region.

From the top of the mountain you can see one of the most beautiful landscapes found in the La Paz highlands., You can also see the town of Catacora in its entirety.; Generally this place is frequented by the residents since they are the ones who use this plant as fuel for cooking food.. It is recommended to visit the hill during the months of March to October when it is dry season and not during the rainy season..
