Paseo El Prado is located on the main road axis of the center of the City of La Paz known as avenue 16 de Julio on the east side and Student Avenue on the west side.

Student Square
Paseo El Prado is located on the main road axis of the center of the City of La Paz known as avenue 16 de Julio on the east side and Student Avenue on the west side. At the beginning of the 20th century it was known by the name of “Alameda Walk”.
The southeastern end of the Paseo located in front of the Plaza del Estudiante has hosted many of the most representative monuments of the city over time, such as the Bennett Monolith brought and later returned to the Tiwanaku Archaeological Complex in the Miraflores area., the three-meter-high Fountain of Neptune carved in white Carrara marble that today is located in the Néstor Portocarrero Mound in the Sopocachi area, to the current water source, carved in stone and decorated with cherubs.
