The Little Town in Tupuraya – Cochabamba
The Little Town, in Cochabamba it is a small old neighborhood, located northwest of the city, in the Tupuraya area. It is considered to have been one of the first indigenous settlements that existed in the city., inhabited by the Los Canas ethnic group who founded the city of Canata located according to scholars, in what we currently know as El Pueblito. So much so that Cochabamba is also known by that name.. The area also served as a residence for the Spanish during colonial times.. Here it is likely that transcendental events for regional history took place, such as the founding of Cochabamba..
As you walk through the streets of El Pueblito, the typical village structure of the Cochabamba valleys is observed. Its special shape is reflected through its streets that differ from the urban structure of the traditional Spanish checkerboard.. Indeed, the irregular harmonic shapes of its apples, where it can be seen in its streets and interior passages, trapezoidal and sinuous shapes, that cause different spatial sensations along the way.
