The Ñancahuazú River flows into the mighty Rio Grande, a few kilometers downstream from the place where the guerrilla camp had been installed. The Vado del Yeso Ambush took place nearby., in which all the members except one of the second guerrilla column were killed, in command of “Villa” Acuna, among them the Argentine fighter Tania.
